Norman Powell has been on an absolute tear since holding Fred VanVleet Jr. Fred Jr is a legendary child to all Raptor fans everywhere. It has been well documented the dramatic effect his birth had on his father's game during the 2019 playoffs. It seems that kid is some sort of basketball Messiah because look what has happened to Norm. Norm started the season off slow, having a pedestrian October/November. In the 17 games prior to holding Fred Jr, Norm put up 11.5/4/1.6 on 44/34/83. On November 28th, the Raptors posted a video on twitter of Norm holding Fred Jr while boarding the team flight to Orlando.
The very next day Powell scored a career high 33 Points. In the 26 games since holding Fred Jr, even while separating his shoulder and breaking a finger during that stretch, Norm has put up an impressive 20.2/3.6/2 on 53/43/84.
With his 250th career 3pt make last night, Duncan Robinson qualifies for all time 3pt% leaders. He sits at 3rd currently
