NBA Highlights | Los Angeles Lakers And Los Angeles Clippers Lose Same Night

The Raptors announce that, in addition to Marc Gasol being out indefinitely, as @wojespn reported, both Pascal Siakam (strained groin) and Norm Powell (left shoulder subluxation) are out indefinitely, too. Just brutal news for the Raptors, who have been injury-riddled all year.

Over the last 7 games, Russell Westbrook is averaging 29-9-7 on 50-30-90 (60% TS). Rockets need to continue to do what they're doing, and make sure Russ gets rest on back-to-backs going forward, bcuz if they can keep him producing at this level going into post-season, they have a really good shot.

Curse of the 2019 NBA Finals. Since Game 1 of the finals, 26 players from both teams have missed time due to injury, or found themselves out of the league.

On May 30th 2019, the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors faced off in the 2019 NBA Finals. 33 players entered the arenas for their teams... and it immediately went to shit from there. Since the start of that series, almost all of those players have found themselves either injured or entirely out of the league. Obviously the basketball gods were demanding payment from the Warriors for their dynasty, while also being pissed off that a Canadian team was even in the finals. So here I present to you, the hitlist for the 2019 NBA Finals Curse.

Golden State Warriors

Kevon Looney - Suffered a collarbone cartilage fracture to start the finals, showed an incredible amount of heart and played through it. He then missed most of the start of this season with a combination of a hamstring strain and a neuropathic condition.
Klay Thompson - Injured himself during the finals and missed a game, then tore his ACL in the middle of a potentially legendary Game 6 Klay performance. Out for the entire season.
Kevin Durant - Snapped his achilles during game 5 of the finals, is now on the Nets bench with Kyrie. While being Kyrie's teammate may not be part of the curse, I'm sure KD thinks otherwise.
DeMarcus Cousins - Tore his ACL in the off-season after joining the Lakers. Has been hanging out on the Lakers bench all season chanting Taco Tuesday, and is not likely to play this season.
Jonas Jerebko - After the finals, Jerebko found himself in Europe and not in the NBA. Rough times ahead.
Andrew Bogut - Left for Austrailia, not sure what happens down there but he's definitely not in the league right now.
Andre Iguodala - He is stuck in Memphis, a fate worse than death. Definitely counts as out of the league. I'm not even sure if they have a team.
Shaun Livingston - After the finals he was waived by the Warriors, and chose to retire rather than risk the curse trying to give him an injury.
Quinn Cook - Started the 2019-2020 season nursing a sore left calf.
Jordan Bell - Started the 2019-2020 season with a calf strain, has also dealt with a shoulder strain putting him in and out of the lineup.
Steph Curry - Started this season by breaking his hand against the suns. Warriors are now in a freefall tank, Chase Center was built over an Indian Burial Ground.
Marcus Derrickson - Was on a two-way during the finals, and is now out of the league playing with Atlanta's G-League team.
Jacob Evans - Still on the Warriors but strained his left adductor 2 months ago, missed 3 weeks.
Draymond Green - The Warriors tank commander tore a ligament in his left index finger in November, has also banged up his heel and elbow this season. Along with this he has reported that his back hurts due to carrying the entire franchise in his backpack.
Damion Lee - Was on a two-way during the finals, and he broke his hand earlier this November. The gods do not care if you played a minute in the finals or not.

15/17 players on the Warriors roster for the finals have either suffered injuries causing them to miss time, or found themselves out of the league since the 2019 NBA finals.

Toronto Raptors

Jeremy Lin - After logging an unbelievable 51 seconds during the finals, he found himself out of the league and playing in China.
Jodie Meeks - Currently not signed to any roster
Eric Moreland - Spent the summer trying to get a long term contract, and now finds himself in China.
Jordan Lloyd - Got a contract in europe, left the league quickly to pay his price to the curse.
Patrick Mccaw - Sat out the start of the season up until earlier this week recovering from knee surgery. 3-peats are expensive.
Kawhi Leonard - Played with an overexterted leg during the finals, and has been dealing with a knee strain as well as his chronic condition all season so far. Can you load manage a curse?
Kyle Lowry - Played through an injured thumb during the finals which required surgery during the summer, fractured his thumb again during this season.
Serge Ibaka - Sprained his ankle gruesomely during the season, needs to eat more Bif Pinus
OG Anunoby - Did not play during the finals due to recovery from an appendix surgery. The gods chose to make this up by having Kawhi Leonard claw his eyes out early in the season.
Fred VanVleet - Bruised his knee last week, out indefinitely. Might need to have another baby.
Marc Gasol - Hamstring strain just recently, out for a number of weeks. The gods chose to strike him immediately after his hangover had worn off.
Norman Powell - Banged up his shoulder against the Pistons, likely to miss 20+ games with a similar injury to what he had last year.
Pascal Siakam - Groin strain against the Pistons as well, out indefinitely. Entire city of Toronto currently burying itself under mountains of snow.

13/16 Raptors players from the finals have either missed time due to injury or found themselves out of the league.

Out of the 33 players on these teams during the finals, 28 of them have been hit with the curse so far. Somewhere in LA Danny Green is shitting himself, waiting for the curse to catch up to him. (Someone put my boy Danny in bubble wrap please I don't want to lose him) This isn't even counting all the new players for both teams who also have been hit with some serious injury or another. I'm not sure what the hell is happening, someone help us. This curse is real.
