Al Horford: "I’m out [there] for the team and doing what I can to help us. But offensively, I’m very limited with the things that I can do. So I can’t control that stuff. So all I have to do is make sure I’m there for the team, trying to do everything I can to help us win.”

Right now, although they have a losing record, the Grizzlies are definitely exceeding my expectations. Before the season started, they had this no-near HC, a the team was full of young guys, and it looked as if the Grizzlies would experience a 20-25 win season in my opinion. But, right now they're 13-21 and 1.5 GB the 8th seed in the West, which I'm pretty surprised. Sure I expect this to fall off and finish about 12th-13th in the West, but still, they've exceeded expectations. Morant may be hitting the rookie wall rn, but he has been great this season at point guard. Jaren Jackson has improved substantially in his sophomore season, even with his well known foul issues. Same with Brooks, he has become a really good scorer at the combo guard for Memphis, along with Grayson Allen off the bench. Jonas is worth every penny of the contract I didn't think was very good at the time (not because he wasn't worth it, because of the team). Last but not least, Brandon Clarke has been playing amazing off the bench as a rookie and can be a future centerpiece for Memphis. Maybe the biggest steal in the draft behind Paschall. They even got Solo playing decent. Taylor Jenkins got these boys playing well, and this Memphis team is in the right direction with a good future. Maybe get a SF in the draft, but they're overachieving, with the Hornets (also overachieving) game as a prime example.
