He wasn't ready, and we knew that: he had not done anything on the court leading up to the game because he physically was not able to. He did a few shoot arounds right before the game, but nothing more. He came back because they needed him. KD gave it his best shot to come back (and we knew if he pushed too hard, something would give, worsening the situation) and help his team. He cared, he gave it his all. Respect to him and I can't wait to watch him play again (please play again KD) next season fully healthy.
I knew if he really pushed it, something would give and would strain the leg even further. He tried to be a threat just as a spot up shooter to reduce the strain on the leg, but his instincts took over and he tried to do too much and his leg couldn't take the strain resulting in furthering the injury.
I hope KD seeing Golden State struggle without him him helps him kill all that noise that Golden State does not need him. They need him, he is a Dub for Life. Please Resign With Golden State! Retire a Warrior!
I'm so distraught after
seeing KD go down with a likely torn achilles, this hurts my soul and I hope KD recovers from this injury well. We may have lost a generational superstar, a
potential top 15 of all time player, we've witnessed years of greatness from him and he has another 5+ years of greatness to deliver. Everything changes, changes for the good, even the pain hurts like it should, everything moves, shadows to light, heart becomes whole when you give up the fight, I have to simply allow the pain to run its course and pray for him to heal.
Yes, this can be the way his career with the Golden State Warriors end (please resign with Golden State Kevin! Don't Leave!): giving up his physical body to give the Warriors 11 critical points which gave the Warriors that early double-digit lead( that they carried until the last part of the game) to help them win Game 5 and bring the series back to Oracle in the hope of winning at Oracle and making this a 7 game series. This is his team and will always be his team and I end this here.
