Klay Thompson: "We feel the city of Oakland deserves one more game."

Klay Thompson: "Everything that's great always comes to an end so whether that's tomorrow or 4 years from now, you never know.”

Andre Iguodala on KD: "I just want him to be in a good place. If he's capable and goes out there with confidence, (then do it). But if he's not, why try to prove anything to anyone else and try to sacrifice your body when it's not in a place to do that?"

Kevon Looney after game 4: "I think we're going to embrace this challenge more. Everybody probably thinks we're going to lose now. And being the underdog again, like we haven't been in a long time, it's fun."

A major reason why Golden State collapsed in Games 1, 2, 4: The five leaders in turnover percentage in the NBA Finals are all Warriors: Draymond Green (28.8) DeMarcus Cousins (28.0) Andrew Bogut (22.2) Kevon Looney (16.9) Andre Iguodala (16.3) Kyle Lowry leads Toronto at 15.9.

YEP...It must be noted that Golden State's core identity, what really separated them the last few years, was not available to them in this series due to lack of wing depth. Going with Green at C to run centers off the floor on O and switch everything on D is what made them truly great.

Part of Andre Iguodala's answer today when asked about the Warriors uncertain future: "I'll be here next year for sure, and I'm pretty confident that we'll have our core back and we'll try to make another run at it."

The Warriors' official reason for Kevin Durant not sitting on the bench during games: He's receiving treatment in the locker room, and there's not a seat for him. There are only enough seats for the 13 active players.

Draymond Green before game 5: “When your backs are against the wall, you've gotta go out and show what you're made of.”

Tonight's Canadian anthem will be sung by the fans. Raptors just leaving it up to the crowd. Really cool. Monica doing the U.S. anthem.

Fred VanVleet: I've been working the last two years to get everybody in my circle out of debt and it's not cheap. That's more important to me [than material gifts]: to give them the financial freedom and a clean slate and help them get educated

Give Kyle Lowry credit for flawlessly closing out back 2 back road finals games in the 4th quarter. He has been the primary ball handler and has made timely shots, and gorgeous reads to pick apart the Warriors defense. Not only his offense but his defense has been amazing too. He seems to make every right decision in the 4th quarter and hasn't folded at all in any of the games.

One of the most underrated aspects of the Raptors roster construction is that everyone who plays can shoot the 3 and are plus defenders

Kawhi Leonard: "Legacy is opinionated by each person, but I'm just playing right about myself really, and what I feel makes me happy.”
https://theathletic.com/1017639/2019/06/08/the-dynasty-destroyer-why-kawhi-leonard-is-the-perfect-man-for-the-job/

Raptors head coach Nick Nurse on criticism that his defense is simplistic: "If things work, I don't care if I go out there and four guys stand on their head and we get a stop. And it was very effective.”

NBA Players have been expert all-season-long at putting sports interviewers in their place: Kyle Lowry on pressure: his mom getting up for at 5 a.m., leaving him cereal and milk in the fridge, taking public transportation to work . . . "That's pressure."
