We might not have the NBA if Stern hadn’t gotten the job when he did (Bird and Magic coming up around the same time). We were at a point where NBA finals games were being tape delayed. Stern had a vision for how he wanted to change the league and he did it. We owe a lot to Stern.

Mitchell Robinson tonight: 22 PTS, 8 REBS, 1 STL, 1 BLK, on 11/11 FG (100 FG%).

The Blazers, along with all 29 other teams, will wear black jersey stripes for the rest of the season to honor the memory of David Stern.

Since Mike Miller took over the Knicks are 6-6, have been one of the best rebounding teams in NBA and their defense from dead last to middle of the pack (and improving each game). Have just held Nets and Blazers to below 95 pts and below 40 percent shooting.

LeBron James in the last 3 games- 41 Assists, 8 Turnovers, and a Triple Double.

With his first steal tonight, Dwight Howard (2096 BLK, 1000 STL) becomes the only active player with at least 1,000 career blocks and 1,000 career steals

Damian Lillard finishes the night against the Knicks with 11 points on 5-20 shooting, 1-8 on 3PT shooting and a +/- of -10

Sigh......Rubio leaves game with injury after slipping on wet floor

There is absolutely no excuse for getting bodied by the Knicks. The Blazers have been the most disappointing team of the season so far.

Blazers lose again but Carmelo Anthony showed up. When are we going to start putting the blame on CJ, Dame or Coaching? Melo had 26 points 7 rebs on 11/17 shooting while dame and CJ combined for 28 against the knicks today.

The Knicks are 6-4 in their last 10 games. That's a better 10 game stretch than the Philadelphia 76ers (4-6) and the Brooklyn Nets (4-6) and just as good as the two LA teams in the Western Conference (6-4)

NBA teams will memorialize former commish David Stern, who died yesterday, with a black band for the rest of this season. Ironically, the black stripe will share space with the Nike maker's mark and an assortment of corporate ad patches — things Stern opposed during his tenure.

When the owners and players were fighting for a new collective bargaining agreement, Stern walked into the locker room with the Eastern and Western All-Stars. "I know where the bodies are buried in the NBA, because I put some of them there," Stern blurted.
