That doesn't look like a virus that's slowing down, especially when testing is basically flat from last week as the fatality rate keeps going up. Slow plateauing is in progress. So deaths increasing more slowly, cases dropping slowly. Western countries seem not be able to significantly bring their numbers down. I assume it's the literal price of civil liberties. China halved their numbers from peak in 7 days, South Korea even faster.

We’re very close to half a million confirmed cases. Which means: almost 1 out of every 5 tests has come back positive. When states reported incompletely, this was an unreliable statistic. But the aggregate number is reasonably accurate now.

The form is fast to complete, the email address verification took about 10 minutes, then about two hours later I received two emails confirming that the form was filed and confirming that I qualified for a check. Lower income people: This includes those who haven’t filed a 2018 or 2019 return because they earned less than the normal income limits for filing a return: single filers who made under $12,200 and married couples making less than $24,400 in 2019.
