Congrats Golden State and Thank You Houston Rockets For Everything, Rockets Will Be The Team Everybody Remembers Came Closest To Breaking/Defeating The Warriors

The Warriors played like they were on the brink of elimination. Rockets played like game 7 was guaranteed.

The Warriors have eliminated the Rockets in 4 of the last 5 postseasons. 2018: Won the semifinals in 6 games. 2017: Won the WCF in 7 games. 2015: Won the first round in 5 games. 2014: Won the WCF in 5 games. The Rockets lost to the Spurs in 6 games in 2016.

Rockets-Warriors series had 6 close games all decided by 6 or less points, neither team "choked". Warriors in crunch time of games 5/6 played absurd efficient offense, just appreciate highest level of basketball in this series instead of trashing the Rockets. The Warriors bench stepped up big offensively and defensively. The game was tied until the last 5 minutes of 4th quarter when the Splash Brothers drained enough 3s to give the Dubs the win. Rockets still tried hard until the end, hit some incredible shots, but it was just impossible. Great series to both teams.

Credit to Steve Kerr for using 11 different players, he had them all ready to go despite limited playing time prior.

In the final 5 minutes of the 4th quarter, Steph Curry scored as many points as the entire Rockets team (16)

On the eve of Friday’s Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals, Curry wanted to get some shots up at the Toyota Center...Somehow, Rockets guard Chris Paul got wind. Steph offered to stick to half a court but Paul wasn’t having it. Curry was kicked off the Toyota Center court

Steph also called Kevin Durant the team's best player.

Draymond Green deserves a lot of credit for helping Steph Curry in the 2nd half. The Rockets were double teaming Steph Curry the whole game and this heavily affected his scoring ability. The worst part is none of his teammates were even helping him, no screens, no driving into the paint when they are open. It was just them standing outside and hoping Steph Curry scores. Green came on in the 4th quarter and he is setting screens for Steph, driving inside when they are double teaming Curry and he honestly was super underrated and probably won't get a lot of credit for their win.

Stephen Curry on tweets from LeBron & Wade after hearing criticism early in series: "I've heard a lot of noise this series. I'll just leave it at that. I know what I'm capable of. I don't need any extra motivation. My confidence never wavers. Champions recognize champions."
